St Peter's Hospice Midnight Walk

Thank you to all the wonderful 1,500 Midnight walkers!

Well done and thank you to all of you who took part in the St Peter’s Hospice Midnight Walk on Saturday 17th July! You should all be very proud to be part of St Peter’s Hospice first ever sponsored Midnight Walk. Thank you to all of you for making it such a successful night!

A big thank you also to all the 180 volunteers who helped us by making sure all the walkers were safe on the night and gave great encouragement along the route and to ITS Leisure Gym for the fun warm up!

Your participation in the Midnight Walk has raised vital funds – we hope around £100,000 - for Bristol’s only adult hospice. Every year we provide care and specialist services free of charge for 2,000 people in Bristol and surrounding areas with terminal illnesses. We also provide support to over 6,000 family members, including children.

You were the stars on the evening all of you definitely made it a fun night out! We saw some fabulous fancy dress outfits and amazing accessories on the night – see our photo gallery for some great outfits and moments during the course of the night. More photos from Heart FM

You were brilliant – so now tell us how WE did, by taking part in this short survey
It wasn't a race but... some of you have said you would like to know how you did, so here are the times for the 2010 walk. You can tell us your experiences of the night and send your pictures to us at: themidnightwalk@stpetershospice.org
The Midnight Walk is over for 2010, but watch this space for next year’s walk! We will let you know as soon as the date is confirmed.

About St Peter’s Hospice

St Peter’s Hospice is Bristol’s only adult Hospice caring and supporting patients in Bristol and its surrounding areas with progressive disease, usually cancer. Our commitment is to improve the quality of life of patients while extending care and support to their families and loved ones. Since its inception, its services have always been free of charge.

The hospice now provides care from teams of specialist nurses who visit patients in their homes and also from in-patient unit and day hospice at its building in Brentry.

Last year we cared for over 2,000 patients and supported over 6,000 family members including children. 85% of the care was provided in patients homes.
